Interhydraulik supports the city of Selm with 2.000 protective masks, the Selmer St. Josef old people’s home with 500 protective masks and the St. Marien-Hospital with 1,000 protective masks.

Although North Rhine-Westphalia is not yet affected by the obligation to wear masks at the present time (20.04.2020), protective masks are scarce in many places. Especially medical staff, pharmacies and old people’s homes complain about supply bottlenecks – unfortunately also in Selm.

“In these extraordinary times, solidarity is more important than ever. When we heard that the town of Selm, the St. Josef retirement home and the St. Marien-Hospital in Lüdinghausen had an urgent need for protective masks, we did not hesitate and handed over a total of 3,500 disposable protective masks to the three facilities,” says Claudius Hirsch, Managing Director of Interhydraulik GmbH.

Claudius Hirsch explains why the Selm-based company is able to remedy the supply bottlenecks at short notice: “When the media increasingly reported on bottlenecks in the supply of protective material in recent weeks, we took the precaution of importing a large delivery of mouth and nose protection from abroad. It goes without saying that we are now giving away the part that we do not need for our own employees”.
