On 30 April, our runners had their first race of the year on the calendar: a 5-kilometre or 10-kilometre race in Nordkirchen.

For the first team, the starting gun for the 5-kilometre race went off at 7.25 pm. In spring-like temperatures, they set off together on the 2.5-kilometre circuit through the Nordkirchen castle park and the old town, which had to be completed twice.

A little later in the evening, a colleague, accompanied by two fellow runners, set off for the Team Interhydraulik in the 10-kilometre race. After just under an hour, the three crossed the finish line together.

Afterwards, our runners enjoyed a few (isotonic) cold drinks in a relaxed atmosphere – fitting for the ‘Dance into May’ celebrations and the start of the long weekend.
