All-day schools and all-day programs now offer more than just lessons and homework supervision. There are working groups, support and leisure activities, games and sports, and cultural activities. Hot lunches are also an integral part of the program and are very popular.
The fact that Selm’s elementary school students have access to such a wide range of childcare and support services is thanks to the GANZ SELM e. V. association, which has been working for years to organize such services in the city – its work begins where the funding for regular operations from the state of North Rhine-Westphalia ends.
“GANZ SELM e. V. does important work so that no child is left behind. We are happy to support this,” says Claudius Hirsch, Managing Director of Interhydraulik GmbH, explaining the decision to support the association in the long term.
The sponsorship is designed for a total of 3 years and will flow into the following areas:

Open all-day
Mitigating the effects of Corona on the children
Those responsible, Christiane Damberg (1st Chairwoman) and Lothar Kirchner (Press and Public Relations), were extremely pleased with the cooperation, as the support from Interhydraulik means that projects can be implemented for which there was previously insufficient budget.
